Work With Me

Most of the organizations I work with are run by wonderful, committed people who are passionate about delivering the best service or creating the finest widget possible but they simply don’t have the staff, time, knowledge or resources to take on the marketing and communications piece. That’s where I can help.

My role is helping not-for-profits and small businesses grow and develop capacity by providing strategic communications and marketing consultation. I work with my clients to help them implement a communications plan that works with their budget and available resources. I take the time to share my knowledge and to provide the tools they need to effectively engage with their communities both online through their websites and social media channels, and through traditional marketing and public relations.

Many of my clients ask me to work alongside them as an extension of their staff to help them plan and create compelling content for their websites; to train them on how to engage in social media; and to help them create traditional marketing and public relations that WOW. I do this by helping them figure out what their story is. Usually, this means defining the organization’s brand and helping them apply that to everything that they do so that their stakeholders – potential donors and customers – understand who they are and what they do.

Some of the services I offer:

  • writing and editing clear, compelling copy for your website and marketing collateral, annual reports, brochures, newsletters, etc.;
  • reviewing and providing an analysis of your current website and working with you to create a site that tells your story better;
  • project management for your website and integration of social media;
  • helping you develop and execute strategies to define your brand and engage your communities;
  • ghost blogging and blog coaching;
  • social media management and coaching;
  • speaking to groups.
